There is a place inside the minds of those around me that I wish to inspire; and in that place lives their imagination.
I strive towards a time when we’re all artists, as children. As a child, if we’re lucky, our conceptual frameworks are stretched and encouraged. We believe in the fantastical and the impossible. The strength of my artwork lies in its ability to invoke that childlike sense of whimsy and wonder.
Some artists create to speak out. Some artists create to perfect the relationship between form and content. I create, primarily, to escape. And in doing so, allow escape for others. My work encourages the brain to write the stories that go with what you’re seeing, to make sense of the nonsensical.
Art is many things for many types of people. The value of my art is grounded in a love of fantasy and fiction, where anything is possible. In my brain lives an entire world of artwork ready to burst forth in frippery and frivolity.
